About Justin

Justin Ryan picked up the guitar when he was 12 years old and has been playing and writing music ever since. Growing up in a musical family, and tagging along to his sisters voice recitals and auditions, Justin took in everything, making him the musician he is today. He grew up listening to classical music, his mothers vinyl albums, pop, rock, and most anything he could get his hands on.

In 2001 Justin and his band mates formed the four piece acoustic rock band "All Together Spent." After signing a management deal, the band toured the east coast for about 5 years and were then presented with a unique opportunity to travel the world playing for troops as a part of an Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) tour.

In 2008 Justin decided to make a move to NYC and while there, he wrote, and self produced and recorded his first solo album "Off Course" which was received well by listeners.

All Together Spent disbanded in 2010 which led to the formation of the Rock Duo, Ryful. Ryful released its first album "High Caliber" in February 2012, which was also produced by Justin Ryan. Some of Justin's most notable performances have been opening for national acts such as, Better Than Ezra, Scott Wieland (Frontman of STP), Third Eye Blind, and Ed Kowalcyk (Lead Singer of Live). Most recently Justin formed The Justin Ryan Band a country rock band that showcases Justin's originals and hand picked covers.

Justin is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and has had 10 songs to date that have made the "Ones To Watch" list of NSAI.  He makes frequent trips to Nashville to pitch songs to industry publishers. Since pitching songs in Nashville for the past few years a few of Justin's co-written songs have made their way to artists such as Rascal Flatts, creative licensing directors at multiple publishing companies, and multiple online music libraries.

“Warm Whiskey Nights”,  Justin's highly anticipated first full length solo album produced and mixed by Pete Hanlon in Woodstock NY was just released on Sept 20th, 2016.

Currently Justin is enjoying playing local shows for his wonderful friends and playing music in a praise band and secular band with his children Carys, Kellen and Arden . Playing music with his children was a life long dream for Justin.

Justin Ryan and the Family Band (temporary name)  will most likely be playing more shows in the future and most likely recording an original album as well. Stay Tuned!
